Compassion in Every Grant
Our mission is to relieve poverty in Canada through fast, dignified emergency support. We focus on practical help that prevents bigger crises—keeping people housed, keeping essential services on, and helping families get through the month safely.
Hibah means “gift” in Arabic—a reminder that giving should be meaningful, respectful, and delivered when it matters most.
Our Mission
How We Help
We fund immediate, essential needs such as rent arrears, utility shutoff prevention, urgent prescriptions, and emergency food support. Our goal is simple: reduce harm quickly and respectfully.
When possible, we pay directly to vendors (landlords, utilities, pharmacies) to keep grants focused and accountable. Microgrants are typically one-time support based on need and available funds.
Rent Help
Helping families stay in their homes by supporting urgent rent shortfalls, arrears, and eviction prevention—so a temporary hardship doesn’t become homelessness.
Food Support
Emergency food support to help households get through difficult weeks with dignity—prioritizing families, seniors, and urgent situations.
Utility Aid
Support to prevent shutoffs for essential services like heat and electricity—because stability starts with keeping the lights on.
